With livestreaming growing across our sport, it’s never been easier to watch from anywhere—but it also means we need to be more aware than ever online.
Unfortunately, where there’s interest… there can also be scams.

⚠️ WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

• Links in comments claiming to be “LIVE NOW” that aren’t from the official event or club page
• Brand new, empty or fake-looking profiles sharing livestream links
• Accounts asking you to add them as a friend – big red flag 🚩
👉 Most organisations use Facebook pages for you to like & follow, not personal profiles
• Pages with very few followers, no engagement, or recently created
• Links that take you off Facebook to unknown websites
• Streams asking for payment, credit card details or logins to “watch”
• Poor spelling, odd wording or multiple duplicate comments pushing the same link

✅ HOW TO STAY SAFE

• Always go to the official club or event page for livestream links
• Be cautious of links in comment sections—especially repeated ones
• Hover over or preview links before clicking (if you can)
• Never enter personal or payment details into unverified sites
• If something feels off, trust your gut—it usually is
• Ask the page or organisers directly if you’re unsure
