Club Name: Murray Polocrosse Club

Location: Coolup, P
eel Region, WA
Established: 1999

Murray Polocrosse Club was inaugurated in 1999 by three local families who believed there was enough interest and enthusiasm in the community to form a new club. Partnering with the Murray Horse & Pony Club, they began developing a practice field at what is now the Murray Regional Equestrian Centre.

Success came early โ€” winning the B Grade final at Capel in 2000, followed by the B Grade State Finals in Perth in 2001. Since then, the club has celebrated multiple wins from E through to B Grade. In 2019, they proudly hosted their first carnival.

While competitive success is celebrated, the club strongly believes polocrosse is about fun, friendship and enjoyment โ€” itโ€™s not always about playing for โ€œcattle stationsโ€!

Current Members: 15 (and growing!)
Grades Catered For: Juniors, C to E Grade players โ€” and theyโ€™re on the lookout for more experienced players to join the ranks.

About the Club

The People Behind the Club

Every single member volunteers to keep the club running โ€” a true team effort.

A special shout-out goes to Chief Groundsman Jeff Maughan for the countless hours of behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything ticking along.

Murray Polocrosse Club is proudly family-friendly, welcoming juniors and blue bandage players into a supportive environment.

Community & Culture

Murray Polocrosse Club proudly supports their sponsors and local businesses.

Off the field, the vibe is positive, supportive and social โ€” whether itโ€™s fundraising, camping at carnivals or enjoying a get-together after the games.

Members arenโ€™t just part of the polocrosse club โ€” theyโ€™re active contributors to the Murray Regional Equestrian Centre community. Member Sue Maughan is a long-standing board member and currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Murray Equestrian Association.

Being part of Murray means being part of something bigger โ€” a shared facility, a shared vision and a shared passion for the sport.
