𝐄𝐏 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 | 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬

It’s been a little while since we’ve featured one of our Road to Darwin horses. While the Nationals have been postponed until 2027, we’re still committed to sharing the stories of the horses selected to represent their states. They’ve earned their place, and their stories deserve to be told.

Today we meet Radkes Detail "Jitter" from Western Australia.

Breeding
Jitter is by Marnies Two Acres (Acres Destiny) and out of McNamara Dignity, who is out of Comara Cinders.

How did he join the family?
Jitter was purchased from Sam and Elise Cook in 2019 and has become a much-loved member of the Pate family ever since.

Best Position
Jitter is the definition of versatile. He can play all three positions thanks to his unique combination of speed, agility, strength and toughness. He has the pace and turning ability of a Number 1, while still possessing the power and durability needed for a Number 3.

National Experience
Jitter previously represented in the Victorian Women's side at the 2018 Nationals in Perth.

Biggest Achievements
• Champion Junior Pony at Zone Championships in 2023
• Part of the winning WA side against Victoria at South Midlands in 2025

Quirkiest Habit
After work, the horses are usually rewarded with a pick on some green grass. But without fail, Jitter will trot back towards his paddock, spin around to face everyone and let out a nicker. It's become his signature move and has earned him the title of the family's class clown.

Why? Because he loves to go fast, thrives on adrenaline and always looks after his family.

No matter the job or environment, he takes it all in his stride with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a willingness to give anything a go.
