Meet Ropeley Park Inferno, better known as Dan β€” a talented gelding representing Queensland on the road to the 2026 Polocrosse Nationals.

Bred for performance, Dan is out of Ropeley Park Cameo and by the stallion Lethal Lena, combining strong bloodlines with a competitive edge on the field. Owned by Jett Sargood and ridden by Izzy Nicholson, this partnership is one to watch in the Intermediate Women’s competition.

Dan is a versatile performer who can handle any position, but he truly shines in the number 3 role where his impact on the game is strongest. Despite his ability and experience, he’s known for getting a little nervous before games β€” a quirky trait that makes his performances even more impressive once he steps onto the field. And one thing’s for sure… you’ll never see a back strap on his rugs!

Dan has steadily built his Nationals experience over the years:

Ballarat 2022 – QLD Junior Mixed
Chinchilla 2024 – QLD U21 Men
Darwin 2026 – QLD U21 Women

If Dan were a famous personality, he’d be none other than Rocky Balboa β€” tough, determined, and always ready to rise to the challenge.

Keep an eye on this fiery gelding as he takes on Darwin
