WANTED: Safe, Educated Polocrosse Pony

For a confident, competitive 8‑year‑old rider

We are a family looking for a beautiful, reliable little horse that will keep a young rider safe while helping him grow in the sport. Our son is an active polocrosse player and also competes in campdrafting, gymkhanas, and pony club.

Our home is experienced with well‑educated horses — we value softness, flexion, correct lateral work, and groundwork that builds respect and responsiveness. A pony that has been trained with this level of feel and consistency would be ideal, as it will be maintained in the same way.

What We’re Looking For

• 8–18 years old
• Calm, patient, gentle temperament (child‑safe)
• Not spooky, reactive, or dominant
• Experienced in polocrosse — ideally with representative background
• Confident with horses approaching at speed
• Well‑educated and happy in a snaffle
• Stays straight under pressure (no cutting in on racquet side)
• Responsive but not strong
• No bucking, shying, or matey behaviour
• Suitable for a smaller rider who isn’t very strong
•ideally QLD but will consider other states for the right horse
